About half of the book gives basic (really basic) small business concepts, that relate to any small business like saying "Thank You" for your order. The balance of the book gives price lists and suggests additional books (also by Mary Roehr) to buy in order to do alterations or custom tailoring. There was nothing about starting a home dec business except that there are additional books to buy that will discuss how to measure and price for home dec.

There are complete price list for custom sewing and alterations for men and women, and discussion on how to figure an hourly rate. This book is for anyone who already has a business in their home or for those who have thought about starting one. This is the only sewing business book containing complete price list that are good nationwide for alterations and customer sewing for men and women.
