Grace Z44-FF Pro No-Baste, Tiltable Hand Quilting Frame Review

While the concept is wonderful - who wouldn't love a no baste hand quilting frame - the reality is that this frame is extremely cumbersome. I spent days sanding and staining the pieces. But that was nothing compared to assembling it and moving it from the garage into the house by myself. It is stunningly time consuming to tighten the little screws and all the bolts and knobs, load the backing, batting and quilt top correctly and evenly and it takes up a solid one third of my living room. However, if you make it through all that, it's quite nice for the actual quilting. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone - especially if you live alone and have to manhandle this by yourself ... and I'm not one to back down from a challenge.

Omnigrid Quilters Travel Case Review

Omnigrid Quilters Travel Case
Average Reviews:

I selected this case to use when I go to workshops and retreats away from home. I loved the size of it, but am disappointed in its depth. It's not quite deep enough to put very many tools in. The compartments attached to the back are too narrow to put very many items in. For example, there's really no place to put your rotary cutter, spools of thread, or any tools much larger than 6 inches. Plus, they have teeny tiny plastic sleeves at the top that are so tiny, you can't get your fingers in them. About all they could be used for is to put a few buttons. It lacks storage compartments where things can be enclosed. I've ended up just laying things loose in it when I go to workshops. If I hadn't ordered it online and could have seen it first, I would not have purchased it. For its price, it was a disappointment. Usually Omnigrid is an excellent product, but this one falls short.
