(More customer reviews)I've done all forms of needle crafts all my life but have never owned applique scissors until these. Now I wish I'd discovered them years ago. Trimming goes much quicker and there's no worry of "accidentally" cutting into a design or background if used properly, letting the large blade be your shield and guide, making them useful for any close trimming, not just applique.
All that's said about them in the description and reviews is true.

(More customer reviews)I received this as a Christmas present. I read the reviews on here and I couldn't decide if this was something I really wanted but left it on my Christmas list. Someone grabbed it for me and I couldn't be happier with it! Honestly I think it depends on the cartridges and the size of your cut outs that you use as to whether you will get use out of this. I use it a lot with puppy pals. The tools help with getting the scrap paper off the mat from the intricate cut outs. I will say I haven't used all of the tools yet and probably won't I think it would benefit cricut to make them more available individually then in a set. Otherwise, I would recommend these tools for anyone doing intricate cutting.
Update: 05/02/08 Since I wrote this review I have accumulated about 11 carts. And I still stand by this review. My fave tool is still the spatchula which you have to purchase separately. I use the other tools a lot with Accent Essentials, and Home Accents oo also Jasmine. For small cuts these tools work like a champ! My only complaint is a general complaint about Cricut. Cricut thinks their products are gold. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my bug and I use it regularly. But I think their products are way over priced.. So I would look to buy this when its on sale.. That's when its a real deal.

(More customer reviews)I always have backup Cricut products on hand and Amazon has the best selection of items, in stock & the best prices. These mats are sometimes hard to find in stores and I received mine in a few days (I have the Prime membership though).
You can wash and dry the ones you have and alternate using 2-3 mats to keep them in use alot longer. You can also make them less sticky by placing a clean white t-shirt over them to reduce some of the stick that can tear lightweight paper or vellum.

For good reason, its the only brand out there that you can stack luggage on top of and pull it around. Easier said than done. The problem with it, is that all their luggage products have these tiny, narrow, cheap, plastic wheels, too tiny to pull any sort of load. If you are not on perfect pavement, look out, the tiny wheels get caught in sewer grates, sidewalk cracks, anything not smooth, and you will forever be trying to navigate the luggage while trying to watch where you are going. It is very hard to pull the luggage with such tiny wheels, and with a sewing machine load, forget it!
They have been around a long time, but still they don't get it with the wheels. It must cost too much to redesign the frame to allow a more substantial wheel like most contemporary luggage has.

I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. I'm impressed with quick and easily it cuts fabrics, as well as with the accuracy of the cuts. This die cuts fabric triangles that, when sewn together create squares that are 3.5" inches on each side; if you quilt with 1/4" inch seams, then that means the finished square is 3" inches on each side. Almost all of my quilting is done with combinations of 3.5" squares, so this die has been a great investment for me.
The die cuts four traingles (i.e., two completed squares) per cut - if you layer the fabric with eight layers (the maximum thickness the AccuQuilt claims to be able to accommodate), that gives you 16 squares per cut. It takes about five minutes to layer the fabric and run it through the machine, so you can cut about 100 squares in half an hour time.
The only complaint I have with this die is that it is a bit wasteful of fabric - I do wish they had made it with less "empty" space on the sides, to allow for tighter cutting, but I suppose if you got creative with your fabric folding it wouldn't be as much of an issue. For myself, I never seem to have enough scraps for scrap quilts, so I'm just being "wasteful" and saving the scraps in my barren scrap basket.
Do note that you will need the GO! 5x10 Cutting Mat to use with this die, as well as the actual AccuQuilt Go fabric cutting machine. I've attached the video I created for my AccuQuilt review to show this die in action.

Cricut Cartridge, Storybook Review

(More customer reviews)ADORE this cartridge. I use this thing for more designs than any other cartridge I own, not that I own that many. It is SO versatile, and this is coming from a mom with two boys and NO girls. I use it for my own scrapbook (kind of a physical journal I'm putting together about me, and the only place I really can use my girlie supplies!) AND for our family scrapbook. There are a few birds, pretty flowers, and awesome borders, accents... I mean, I could go on. I LOVE the versatile shapes, including scalloped circles, ovals, squares, rectangles... There's a branch with flowers that I absolutely love... I simply don't have enough time to sit and write all of the things I love about this cartridge!
The alphabet does have a dreamy quality to it, but it also has a decidedly Western feel to it (cut it in brown), which is perfect for accenting pages for my family and my boys, too. It also has a fancy alphabet that is so incredibly beautiful, I use it to accent and label all of my supplies.
All in all, if you're debating over this cartridge vs. another one, I'd say go for this one, hands down! I think Cricut may have lost themselves some business with this one because, seriously, I don't even care about buying more cartridges now that I have this one.

Cricut Machine Shoulder Bag Review

(More customer reviews)Even after reading the reviews I purchased this carrier for my Cricut. I have both the original Cricut and the bigger Expressions. I figured if I could not get the Expressions to fit I could at least put the smaller one in it. I unzipped the ends to "expand the bag" all the way out. I was able to put the Expression inside through the front flap, but it was a tight fit. Just so happen I glanced over at the instruction book and noticed that was an "option 2" after reading, I realized you can actually slide the machine in the bag though the end, think of a doggie carrier. It is really hidden but, on the right hand edge of the bag, inside the "seam" is a zipper. Unzip this and the right end of the bag opens up and the Expression slides in and out with out having to unzip the front flap.
Like others have already mentioned you cannot store your mats or cartidge cases but if you just need something to carry your machine in to crops this is perfect.
I am actually going to buy another one for my smaller cricut.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product on a deal and a whim. I didn't expect to think it was SO COOL!!! I've looked at many "scrapbooking" gadgets and hate the commercialism that goes with a craft that started as a leftover way to archive. I've been "papercrafting" for decades, way before the modern "scrapbook" and "papercraft" fads. But the more I saw online about this machine, the more I was intrigued. So, once it arrived I unpacked it and within a half hour I was turning out letters. There is a tiny learning curve that amounts to calibrating the machine for what you want it to do, but the machine is intuitive, useful, versatile and fast. I can't believe how quickly it turns out phrases that would have taken me days to cut out by hand.
I love it, I'm hooked, my only complaint is that the supplies and cartridges are so expensive that the expendable and disposable nature makes me have to be extremely cautious about what I choose to purchase. As an artist I do not have the disposable income to make mistakes. But I love this Cricut... chirp!
