Brother SA109 1/4 Inch Binding Foot Review

Brother SA109 1/4 Inch Binding Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The product looks great, but it doesn't work with all Brother machines as Amazon advertises. It does not work with my Brother LS-1217 because my presser foot is all one-piece. Furthermore, there was no customer service info. where I could call for help, so I wasted time trying to figure out how to attach it before I finally got a chance to go on the Brother website, where it lists the same product with an extensive list of compatible machines, which did not include, as I had begun to suspect, my LS-1217. I love Amazon, but the information is wrong. I recommend going to the Brother website to check if it works with your machine before you purchase it.

I am extremely impressed with the speed of service from this company. I ordered the 1/4in foot on Saturday morning and I received it in the mail on Monday. That's not even a full week-end. WOW! what service. As to the product itself, it is exactly what I was expecting. While I have attached it to my machine, I have not had an opportunity to actually sew with it, but I have no doubt that it will perform as well as I expect. Kudos to the company for speed of service.

This 1/4" foot is a teachers favorite, the guide blade makes you achieve that perfect 1/4". By rubbing the material against the guide you will always have a straight line. Popular with quilters, this foot is used for piecing quilt blocks, sewing narrow 1/4-inch seams and topstitching. Also known as a "Quilting" foot it is great for patchwork quilting, crazy patch quilting, french seams, heirloom sewing, traditional tucks, cross tucks and wave tucks.

Brother SA142 Fringe Foot Review

Brother SA142 Fringe Foot
Average Reviews:

This foot is great as a tacking tool but as far as fringe applications I'm not convinced. The thread guide on the foot touches my ankle and wont let the thread pass through ,causing a mess and extra work pulling it all out. If I figure this problem out I'll write a new review but for now save your money.

This is an excellent table. It fits my Janome sewing machine really well as part of it flips up to allow me access to my bobbin. Much better than the average extension table. Would recommend highly to anyone with a Janome sewing machine.

Brother SA251 Embroidery Q+ Foot Review

Brother SA251 Embroidery Q+ Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is an example of user ignorance (not product problems). The foot looked like what we needed for our sewing machine, and my wife swore that it was the one she needed. However, when we got the item, it didn't work on her machine.
Shipping on it was so expensive, it wouldn't have been worth our effort to return the product. We were stuck with something we can't use.
But it wasn't the fault of the seller -- it was our own ignorance.
We finally travelled to a city where they sold the feet, and got a salesman to help us find what we needed.

Clover Rotary 45mm Cutter Review

Clover Rotary 45mm Cutter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a new quilter I didn't know that most people use Olfa cutters and I bought the Clover. Later I used an Olfa and found that it's not nearly as easy to use, but, of course, people get used to it. The only disadvantage of Clover is that you have to remember to close it up each time so you don't accidentally cut yourself. But I think cutting fabric is hard, and Clover makes it easier.

This product only works on Innov-is4000d or other Innov-is machines. I read on the amazon specifications that it works with the 6000 series so i assumed it would work with my cs-6000i sewing machine, but there isn't a screw hole to install it on the needle plate. Wish the information was accurate.

Brother 1/4-Inch Quilting Foot Review

Brother 1/4-Inch Quilting Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This foot helps you to create perfect 1/4 inch seams easily & quickly.
As another reviewer noted, it is important to check your needle
position after attaching this foot to your machine. The hole that
the needle passes through is small, and if your needle is not in the
correct position it will hit the foot and break.I have a
Brother CS 6000 and the default needle position is to the left,
instead of in the center. So, BEFORE you begin sewing with
this foot, you have to position your needle to the center. It is important
to remember this if you have been sewing with this foot, but turn the
machine off, because when you turn the machine on again the needle positon
will automatically revert to the left, and you will have to reset it to the
center before you begin sewing again.
If you cannot tell by eye if the needle is aligned with the hole in the foot
use the handwheel to gently lower the needle above the hole. This way you
will be able to see if it is aligned without breaking the needle.
This is a great price for this foot, as well.

This is an easy way to get a consistent quarter inch seam. I love this foot and can't believe that I quilted for so long without one. I was unsure whether this would fit my machine (a Janome with drop-in bobbin), since the description here doesn't specify, but I emailed the seller directly from their website and got a response back very quickly. Brother SA129 Quilting Foot Review

Brother SA129 Quilting Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I found this item to be at a great price! Other places sold it for much more than Amazon. The shipping cost was also reasonable. I received the item very quickly.
I was a little disppointed because the instructions included with this item are vary vague and difficult to read. The pictures are small and not very detailed. However, I think the instructions are pre-packaged in the item so not necessarily a seller problem. I would just recommend searching for turtorial videos... I found quite a few on YouTube. This was a great help.
Be sure to practice before actually using this on a quilt. It's easy to learn!
Thanks for another great purchase!

Brother SA125 1/4 Inch Piecing Foot Review

Brother SA125 1/4 Inch Piecing Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
One of the most important things you have to get right in quilting is a 1/4 inch seam. I have had problems with this so I was happy to see that my Brother CS6000i had a 1/4 inch piecing foot. It didn't come with the machine so I purchased it and I must say, this is really wonderful. It has this little runner on the side of the foot that helps you make a perfect 1/4 inch seam. I would recommend this foot for anyone who owns a Brother CS6000i. I am so happy with mine.

Brother SA188 Open Toe Walking Foot Review

Brother SA188 Open Toe Walking Foot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a good little tool and does what it says. It causes the top material to feed at the same time the bottom piece is feeding in, resulting in more accurage placements of the materials. The drawback is that it does not work in reverse. So, it is just right -- a real asset. However, when you get to the end of your stitching, you can't do a reverse stitch to lock it in. In any event, it is well made, easy to install, built so that you can see where your stitches are being placed and I would certainly want one in my sewing machine's tool kit.

Brother's SA188 open toe walking foot provides secure fabric feeding for both utility and decorative stitches. The foot features movable feed dogs to enhance feeding from the upper fabric surface, and the horizontal opening allows for a wide range of left-to-right needle positions and added sole pressure. Use Brother's SA132 quilting foot guide inserted on either the left or right side of the foot for accurate stitch placement.
